Social Media Strategy

The first article we read by Daily Mail was actually kind of terrifying. The Chinese Government is wanting to start to keep and eye on all of their citizens and make sure that they are doing the right things by giving them social points and these points will effect their day to day lives. This is very eerily similar to the Black Mirror episode we watched. This is going to cause tons of problems for the government and also the people of China. They are going to try to be on their best behavior but when they start to lose points they might just fall into chaos.

The Second was kind of weird because it talked about how this app kind of controlled the Chinese peoples wallet. The app would let them pay for everything and people stopped carrying around their wallets. Also you could enter your car information and housing information and all of your personal information and pay all of your bills and everything from this one app. This is a very scary system to me because one company now has all of your information and if somehow they got hacked then the hacker would be able to take basically everything you own with just the click of a button. Apps like this terrify me because it is showing how powerful our phones are becoming and how easily people are giving into them.
